Entire Product Line by Extending License of
Expertcity, Inc. DesktopStreaming Technology

MONROVIA, CA (May 7, 2001) - ParaSoft, leading provider of error prevention and error detection software tools, and Expertcity Inc., leading provider of Web-based remote assistance and customer support technologies, jointly announced today ParaSoft’s extended online technical support featuring DesktopStreaming technology. This technology allows ParaSoft representatives to collaborate with customers to remotely answer questions or demonstrate product functionality using the new 2Way ScreenSharing feature.

As part of a continued effort to improve customers’ experiences, ParaSoft extended its online support capabilities, which features DesktopStreaming technology, to its entire line of products. The Expertcity's technology allows remote users to virtually share their screen, keyboard and mouse with ParaSoft technical or sales representatives from the comfort of their own desk. The new 2Way ScreenSharing feature of DesktopStreaming technology also allows ParaSoft sales representatives to show their screen to prospects and customers, an ideal function for remote demonstrations of products and features.

Expertcity's proprietary DesktopStreaming technology enables support representatives to chat in real-time with their users and quickly escalate to desktop sharing, which features mutual mouse and keyboard control, as well as white board capability allowing ParaSoft experts to remotely draw on their customers screens. The technology supports all major platforms including Windows, Linux, Solaris and Macintosh.
