jtest! 3.0 is the only tool that integrates every essential type of Java(TM) testing into one suite. In addition to performing white-box testing, which assures developers that a class is structurally sound and will not crash when passed unexpected inputs, jtest! 3.0 comes with new features including static analysis, black box testing, and regression testing. The new version helps developers prevent and detect errors automatically with a single click of a button.

ParaSoft is debuting a pre-release version of jtest! at the JavaOne conference in San Francisco. Now serious software developers and managers attending the conference can take a first look at this complete error prevention and error detection solution available for Java(TM) projects of all sizes.

The static analysis feature automatically enforces over 50 Java(TM) coding standards, reducing the number of errors in the final product, making code easier to reuse, modify and maintain. Additionally, jtest! offers suggestions on how to improve the quality of the code.

Now developers can automatically verify that their classes behave according to specification with jtest!'s new black-box testing feature. jtest! analyzes the class bytecodes and automatically provides inputs. Developers also have the option of specifying their own inputs for Jtest to execute.

The newest version of jtest! also features automatic regression testing, which helps developers ensure that class behavior does not change when they modify their source code. This feature will greatly prevent developers from reintroducing errors as well as adding new errors into their code when they make changes.
