ParaSoft Continues Support of High-end Platforms
with Upcoming Release of INSURE++ v5.1
Latest Version Will Add SolarisTM and AIX(R) to
Set of Supported 64-Bit Platforms
|
MONROVIA, CA. (July 26, 1999) - ParaSoft,
leading provider of software error
prevention and error detection solutions, announced today that their newest
version of Insure++ will support 64-bit development on SolarisTM and AIX®
operating environments. Insure++, ParaSoft's automatic runtime error detection
tool for C and C++, was the first development tool to support 64-bit
development for HP and SGI, and now ParaSoft is proud to extend this support
for Solaris and AIX.
More and more companies who wish to stay competitive in the software industry
are adopting 64-bit platforms for their development needs. Experts suggest
that 64-bit operating environments are increasingly being viewed as a
necessity for large-scale computing and next generation applications.
64-bit operating systems like those offered by Sun, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and
SGI provide increased performance and speed along with the ability to handle
extensive amounts of information. However, in order for C and C++ developers
to fully utilize the benefits of working on these platforms, they must have
access to high-performance development tools like Insure++.
Having Insure++ available for high-end development platforms promises to offer
real solutions to busy C and C++ developers who have come to rely upon
Insure++'s ability to perform the most thorough check for runtime errors.
One developer who has experienced the benefits of Insure++ firsthand is
Silicon Graphics technical team member, Douglas Scott. "Insure++ has saved me
dozens of hours of work," says Scott. "It has discovered and reported
problems which no other tool could detect. If I had not had access to
Insure++, I would still be debugging that same project a year later!"
Researchers are finding that development managers from all over the world are
implementing 64-bit solutions because they offer unlimited computing power to
meet a company's growing needs.
"We at ParaSoft know that the transition to 64-bit computing is pretty much
inevitable," says ParaSoft CEO Dr. Adam Kolawa. "That is why we have been
committed to ensuring that there are reliable error detection tools for
developers who have migrated or are planning to migrate to 64-bit platforms."
